On Sunday, to shoot a two-under-par 70, Michelle Wie held her nerve to secure her another LPGA Title by three shots at the CN Canadian Women's Open.
The tall American woman had entered the final round level toghter with Jiyai Shin who is a Korean, carrying her own golf clubs and both golf players dropped a shot early.
However Wie continue to pick up five shots, including an important run of three-straight birdies from 13 through 15, and although she carded two bogeys too, her charge was full enough to help her open up a great cushion over her component and win going away with a closing total of 12 under.
Shin fell away badly because she carded four bogeys as well as three birdies to shoot a 73 in total and finish with a four-way tie for second place.
On the other hand, Kristy McPherson shot an impeccable round of 66 to move to join Shin on nine under while defending champion Suzann Pettersen as well as Lee Jee-young both recorded rounds of 69 to finish the quartet.
Morgan Pressel and Kim In-kyung was next up at eight and seven under respectively.
Wie admitted that her run of birdies on the back nine had been cruial.
"You know that was a so great putt, for me a so good confidence improvement on 13 to make that putt going onto 14. I haven't been making lots of putts the whole week, thus it was nice to make that; and then the chip was great. Everything kind of worked for me after that, and it was great." said she.
"Today I made many important putts out there. I made a lot of putts, yet meanwhile I made lots of many crucial putts.
"Yet you know, I think that it was my ball hitting that actually kept me above water. I have been working so hard at it and it's so great to see that it pays off."
As the top British challenger Wales' Becky Morgan finished the tournament as a final-round 69 left her on five under par. Catriona Matthew who comes from Scotland endec up in three under after a disappointing 74 while England's Laura Davies was at level par after a four-under-par 68.
