The world number one golf player, Tiger Woods was not going to sing from the rooftops about a round that left him tied for 24th after day one of the final major of this year.
However, the world number one Tiger Woods still believed that a one-under-par 71 at the time of the USPGA Championship start at Whistling Straits was much better than what had come before and what a lot of people thought might follow.
Tiger Woods was 18 over par in finishing next-to-last at last week's world championship in Ohio, so going to bed just three strokes off the lead was a massive leap.
"That is the way it goes. I mean, everyone has bad weeks," The Nike golf clubs spokesman, Tiger Woods said, "It's not where I want it, but it's much better. It made me felt good to be a little bit steadier."
On Tiger Woods’s putting, he added: "I felt comfortable so much. I got my lines back. I got everything lined up where I could release the blade."
As for the other two golf players who could have the top spot on the world rankings, the world number two player Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker are respectively also one under after 11 and 13 holes.
All of them were unable to finish on Thursday night due to the earlier fog hold-up and face the expectation therefore of playing 25 and 23 holes on Friday as the tournament manages to catch up.
Tiger Woods who is the best golf player and have a good performance on the golf course, now is back on track.
