World's Largest Christmas Tree

Christmas is coming，everybody is very exciting and preparing for Christmas.

In Rio, the world's largest floating Christmas tree was lit amidst a spectacular fireworks display. Despite light showers, thousands gathered along Rio's picturesque lake region to watch the illumination of the 85-metre floating tree.

The largest floating Christmas tree in the world, by Guinness Book standards, is as tall as a 28-story building and attracts 80,000 gawkers a day.

The lighting of the 280 foot tall tree early every December is the party city's third largest event after Carnival and New Year's Eve.

Floating of the coast of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, the tree literally lights up the sky Created by Brazilian designer Abel Gomes, and sponsored by Bradesco Seguros e Previdencia, the towering display generates 11 sequential patterns, illuminated by 2.9 million miniature bulbs, 52 kilometers of illuminated strands and 1,600 flashing strobes to producing a twinkling star effect.

However rather than raising the town's carbon footprint, light and color display is powered by biodiesel generators that help reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

This is another record for Mexico, which already set records this year for the largest group kiss and the largest number of people dancing simultaneously in one place to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."
