Tiger Woods, bidding for a a third victory in as many weeks, for a 5th PGA title and his first major this year, will immediately get back to work at Hazeltine National in Chaska, Minnesota today (Monday).

Woods won't have much time to celebrate his seventh WGC-Bridgestone Invitational triumph on Sunday.

Not with the US PGA Championship coming up this week.

His win in Ohio took the world number one's victories worldwide to 90, his PGA Tour wins to 70 and gave him his fifth PGA Tour title of the year following other successes at the Bay Hill Invitational, the Memorial and the AT&T Classic and the Buick Open.

But that will all be put aside now as Woods focuses on the task ahead at Hazeltine, collecting win number 91 and the 15th major victory of his career.

Woods said, It's going to be a quick turnaround and he will be out there tomorrow. So he had to celebrate quickly today.

Such is Woods' well-honed routine for preparing for a major that he said the dramas of his final round locked in battle at Firestone with Harrington would not unduly affect him.

He is going to play Monday and Tuesday and then do nothing on Wednesday, just practice. Wednesday will be his nearest rest day.

Woods' victories in the past two weeks came in the wake of him missing the cut at last month's Open Championship at Turnberry, which was just the fifth MC of his 13-year professional career.

Woods said he just put that down to a bad stretch of holes and his success to some good stretches.

"I just felt that I had six bad holes, and that six bad holes took me out of the championship, and I only missed the cut by a shot," Woods said of his premature exit at Turnberry.

"I was able to do it the last couple weeks, and instead of having a bad stretch, I had positive ones."
