Cevear Wins European Open

The European Open at London Club golf course produced a surprise winner this weekend with world number 449 and French golfer Christian Cevear securing victory.

Cevear was tied for the lead with Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh going into the final round of golf, and hit 3 bogeys on the 1st 9 holes, before a run of 5 par’s, a birdie on the 15th, and then 3 more par’s on the final 3 holes. As a result, Cevear had a 2-over-par final round of golf, and a final score of 7-under-par 281, which was 13 more than Ross Fisher took to secure victory in the golf tournament last year.
