Have you already decided to play the game with your family and friends? Have you already prepared for where to go for you golf vacation? But before you move, there is one thing that is more important than your TaylorMade R9 Driver preparing. And that is weather.
Check here to know the weather of the whole country. Then you can have the idea about where for golfing and where to swing.
Northeast
A combination of strong high pressure near northern Maine and weak low pressure off the Mid-Atlantic coast will crank up the winds through Thursday.
From southeastern New England southward to the Mid-Atlantic expect winds in the 15 to 30 mph range. Gusts near 40 mph are possible along the coast.
The persistent fetch of onshore winds will result in some localized coastal flooding and beach erosion from New Jersey into the Delmarva Peninsula.
Waves will ramp up into the 12 to 15 foot range along the New Jersey coast. In addition, a high risk of rip currents will persist from Long Island southward along the Mid-Atlantic Coast.
Rainfall will be the heaviest in New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and eastern Maryland. Amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible.
Much of New England will stay dry under high pressure until Friday when the rain spreads farther north.
Temperatures from the Appalachians eastward will be up to the 20 degrees below average. Highs on Thursday will only reach into the 60s from Boston, Mass. to Washington, D.C. Portions of the Poconos and the Catskills may only top out in the 50s.
South
Much needed rain is on the way to drought stricken South Texas the next few days. This includes Austin, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi.
A moist inflow off the Gulf of Mexico plus some lift from energy in the upper atmosphere will allow for daily scattered showers and storms over the area. Locally heavy amounts are likely, especially near the Texas Coast.
High temperatures under the increased cloud cover and rain will hold in the upper 80s to near 90.
Elsewhere in the South Thursday, scattered storms will rumble from the Southern Appalachians to Florida and the lower-Mississippi Valley.
Highs will range from the 70s and 80s over the Carolinas to the upper 80s and near 90 in the lower-Mississippi Valley and Florida.
